Ingredients

  • 6 cups of Cheerios
  • 6 tablespoons of butter
  • 5 cups of mini marshmallows
  • green food coloring
  • red, yellow and green M&M candy

Instructions

  • Pour the Cheerios into a large mixing bowl and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter and marshmallows over low to medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • Stir the marshmallow mixture and a few drops of green food coloring into the Cheerios until the cereal is evenly coated.
  • Coat your hands with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Grab a handful of the mixture and shape it into a tree form.
  • Place each tree on a sheet of waxed paper.
  • While still sticky, press red and green M&Ms into the trees as ornaments.
  • Add a yellow M&M at the top of each tree to serve as a star.
  • Refrigerate the trees for about an hour to set before serving.
  • Enjoy!
