Ingredients
- 6 cups of Cheerios
- 6 tablespoons of butter
- 5 cups of mini marshmallows
- green food coloring
- red, yellow and green M&M candy
Instructions
-
Pour the Cheerios into a large mixing bowl and set aside.
-
In a large saucepan, melt the butter and marshmallows over low to medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
-
Stir the marshmallow mixture and a few drops of green food coloring into the Cheerios until the cereal is evenly coated.
-
Coat your hands with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Grab a handful of the mixture and shape it into a tree form.
-
Place each tree on a sheet of waxed paper.
-
While still sticky, press red and green M&Ms into the trees as ornaments.
-
Add a yellow M&M at the top of each tree to serve as a star.
-
Refrigerate the trees for about an hour to set before serving.
-
Enjoy!
