I talk about beer a lot, but I wanted to share one of my favorite local breweries: Rogue. They’ve been a dependable favorite since I first started exploring craft beer, and a recent visit to their Eugene restaurant reminded me why.
Rogue’s honey orange wheat is a standout—bright, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. It has a citrusy sweetness that pairs beautifully with the soft wheat body, making it a memorable beer that really impresses.

On that visit a friend sampled their Voodoo Maple Bacon Doughnut brew. It’s an adventurous, playful beer that captures a sense of place and creativity—decadent and unmistakably Oregon in character.

My partner went for one of Rogue’s big IPAs, as he often does. Even though I usually prefer wheat beers, I can appreciate a well-crafted, hop-forward IPA—rich aromas and bold bitterness that still manage to stay balanced.

Rogue’s menu complements their beer well. We enjoyed casual pub favorites like hot wings—the kind of straightforward, satisfying dishes that pair nicely with a cold pint.

If you’re in Oregon, consider stopping by Rogue. They have locations in Eugene, along the coast, and in Portland, each offering a solid selection of distinctive beers and approachable food. For beer lovers exploring the region, Rogue is worth a visit.
